Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is that the classroom is an environment wherein students engage in collaborative learning vis-a-vis an academically rigorous curriculum. In this environment, students experience creative growth through experimentation, failure and discovery. Confidence and perseverance are built through a supportive and engaging classroom environment that recognizes and celebrates unique perspectives and artistic expression. While at the same time, using analytical and reflective learning as a way to deepen a student’s understanding of conceptual elements, as well as ideological constructs as they relate to producing media.
